اس کتاب کے مصنف محمد بن احمد بن اسعد بخاری ہیں۔ یہ سلسلۂ طریقت میں خواجہ سعد الدین کے مرید تھے، وہ خواجہ سلیمان کے، وہ خواجہ اولیاء کبیر کے، اور وہ خواجہ عبدالخالق غجدوانی قدس اللہ روحہ کے خلیفہ تھے۔

English introduction
One of the most important surviving works of the Sufi Order of Khwajagan is the book titled “Maslak al-Arifin”, the oldest version of which was written around the end of the 7th century and the beginning of the 8th century AH. The author of this book was a person named Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn As'ad Bukhari, who collected the words of his elder Sheikh Sa'd ad-Din, the second successor of Khwaja Sulayman, who was a khalifa of Khwaja Awliya, a khalifa of Khwaja Abdul Khaliq Ghujdawani.
