Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Abbasi Madani Naqshbandi Fazali (d. 1969) was one of the senior khulafa of Hazrat Pir Fazal Ali Shah Qureshi Naqshbandi (d. 1935). His shaykh received a command from the Final Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to send a khalifa (deputy) of him to the holy city of Madinah al-Munawwara for teaching the Naqshbandi tariqa to the residents there. He chose Maulana Abdul Ghafoor who then migrated to that holy city and taught the Naqshbandi tariqa to the Arab people. He was a very prominent Naqshbandi shaykh in the Arab world. He passed away on 17 May 1969 (2 Rabi al-Awwal 1389 AH).
