Imam Abu-Bakr Ibn Abi-Ishaq al-Kilabazi (d. 385 AH)
Imam Abu-Bakr bin Abi-Ishaq al-Kilabazi al-Bukhari (ابوبکر بن ابي اسحاق الکلاباذي) quddis sirahu is the author of one of the earliest books written on Tasawwuf, at-Ta'arruf Li-Mazhab Ahl al-Tasawwuf, known in short as Ta'arruf. Little is known about his personal life. He is known to be a great Sufi and his shaykh was a direct student of Shaykh Junaid al-Baghdadi (218-298 AH). According to Abdul Hayy Lakhnawi the Indian historian, he was a Hanafi jurist. He died in either 380, 384, or 385 AH.
